Household Food Security Programme - Project Leader's Reflection

Enabling students to develop the competencies to provide support to communities to become food secure was the aim of the Household Food Security Programme (HFSP). Alice Barlow-Zambodla, the project leader provides a personal reflection on the two year pilot that came to a conclusion during 2011.  The project was a partnership between Unisa and Saide with funding from the WK Kellogg Foundation.


OER Sensitization Workshop in Sudan

In November 2011, Catherine Ngugi and Neil Butcher - representing Saide's OER Africa Initiative - facilitated an Open Educational Resources (OER) Sensitization workshop for over 100 participants drawn from universities in North Sudan, namely the Open University of Sudan, Alnilain University, University of Khartoum, Future University, Karari University, University ofTechnology and Science, and Omdurman Islamic University.
