Saide Course Design and Materials Development Guide

Saide has published a Course Design and Materials Development Guide, aimed at supporting education practitioners to design and develop high quality teaching and learning materials to support learner success. It is published on the Saide website as an Open Educational Resource (OER) under a Creative Commons licence. Sheila Drew elaborates on the purpose of the guide.

Assessment for Learning: Using Data from Learners' Mathematics Tests in Teacher Professional Development

Saide and the Wits School of Education are developing materials for a five unit short course based on the ground-breaking Data-Informed Practice Improvement Project (Wits DIPIP Phase 1), a collaborative project with the Gauteng Department of Education that ran from 2006 to 2010. Tessa Welch reports.

Agshare Project Phase Two

The Agshare Planning and Pilot project is now completed. With generous funding from the Gates Foundation Saide's OER Africa Initiative, together with Michigan State University(MSU) and RUFORUM will be continuing to work with four targeted institutions in Africa. Alice Barlow Zambodla provides an update on the project.
