Saide joined the world in celebrating World Read Aloud Day sharing information on its African Story Book materials. The African Story Book (ASb) Initiative has a collection of over 1190 Storybooks in 189 languages, with over 6014 translations. The materials are accessible through the African Story Book App. Speaking at an eNCA television interview, Saide’s ASb , Southern Africa Partner Development Coordinator, Smangele Mathebula, emphasised the importance of a reading culture. She recommended that we should spend a minimum of 15 min a day reading to our children.
