Saide advocates, catalyses, and facilitates transformation in education. Positioned uniquely to partner with education providers and other stakeholders, we help design, implement, and evaluate educational programs across diverse delivery modes. Educational providers across Africa and neighbouring countries turn to Saide for expertise in planning, evaluating, and enhancing their teaching and learning systems, while also supporting professional development for their academic and other support staff.

Saide leads and supports collaborative course design processes, integrating learner support, assessment, and course materials, and mediating learning through appropriate technology.

VVOB awarded the contract for the development of a short online course for school principals to Saide. The brief to Saide was to develop the existing AdvDip (SLM) into a short course, including assessment tasks, according to a modular structure provided by the DBE … The project was completed with a high level of professionality, integrity, commitment and within the assigned time frame. The quality of the work done was commendable as was the collaboration with Ms Bialobrzeska and Ms Drew. VVOB would highly recommend Saide for any business endeavours or partnerships.

Materials design and development
Saide leads and supports teams of subject matter experts to design and develop materials that mediate collaborative and guided independent learning, based on social constructivist and open learning principles. We also build capacity to incorporate open educational resources (OER) across various media.

We act as a catalyst and facilitator for inclusive, collaborative open learning initiatives, ensuring access and success. During 2016 to 2020, the Roger Federer Foundation has contracted Saide to design and develop interactive learning and teaching support materials for … site-based CPD course for primary school teachers in Zambian Community Schools (iAct), … prepare and pilot a video-based, openly licensed course for ECD educators of children aged 4 to 6 in Namibia … (which became) a generic version of KnowHow Early Learning as a basis for country-specific adaptations in South Africa, Malawi, Lesotho and Zambia.
